Giving Back - Casual for a Cause 2019
Bank of Lake Mills employees are allowed to wear jeans to work on Fridays in exchange for a monetary donation. The money raised is then donated to a local charity or organization that has been selected by the employees.
In 2019, employees donated $1955.
A monetary donation of $500 was presented to the Lake Mills Food Pantry. The funds will be used to purchase needed items. The pantry serves individuals and families in the Lake Mills School District. Their goal is to provide food in a respectful environment to those that are in need.
A monetary donation of $200 was presented to the Lake Mills Community Meal Program. Funds will go towards the cost of food, paper supplies, and drinks. The Community Meal is held every 3rd Wednesday of each month at the EMS Building (603 East Lake St) in Lake Mills from 5pm-7pm. There is no charge for this meal, however, many give a free-will offering.
A monetary donation of $250 was presented to the Run Turkey Run. Proceeds from this event are used so support local charities, which include: Watertown Family Aid, Watertown Girls on the Run, Watertown Area YMCA, Crossroads House of Watertown, and Watertown High School Track & Field and Cross-Country teams.
A monetary donation of $300 was presented to the Lake Mills School District to be used to purchase needed school supplies.
A monetary donation of $255 was presented to the not-for-profit Lake Mills Club 55 Senior Center, which supports the physical, emotional, and mental health needs of the older adult community.
A donation of $200 was presented to the Lake Mills Optimist Club to use toward their Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
A donation of $250 was presented to the Watertown Irish Jig Jog 5K Run/Walk. Proceeds from this event are used to support the Educational Foundation of Watertown.
